Over the weekend, thousands of guests visited Brooklyn to run the borough's half marathon. According to Airbnb, roughly 12,000 people stayed with Airbnb hosts over the weekend. To "celebrate Airbnb's sponsorship of the race," branding & design agency Collins created an out-of-home campaign for the brand featuring its "recognizable 'Béloman' character." The ads also featured a phone number with a 718 area code (a throwback to the past). According to the agency, if someone called the number, they were 'greeted by a voice recording from an Airbnb host" in Brooklyn and could press different numbers to find shopping recommendations, restaurants, go-to nightlife options & more.
