Aviation Gin: The Process

The video, featuring and narrated by the Deadpool star, is a playful journey through the process of making the gin. ‘The Process’ dives into the taste and quality of Aviation, discussing the flavor profile that is regionally inspired and relies on seven botanicals: juniper, coriander, lavender, cardamom, Indian sarsaparilla, and orange peel. That involves glossy shots of a bearded grower misting oranges on the tree (with the tears of Aviation’s owner – Reynolds), to ‘humanely caught’ botanicals.

The piney Juniper taste that defines most gins is less forward in Aviation, and as Reynolds explains, “The reason some people don’t drink gin is that strong juniper taste. So, after apologizing to each berry individually, we beat the living hell out of them.”

Reynolds says that the gin is ordained by the Unitarian Church of Fresno, California, “to ensure that heavenly taste.” He also states that it is serenaded with “the healing music of Sarah McLachlan.” He closes by tagging the video, “Aviation. An American original. Now owned by a Canadian.”
