BBC invites Doctor Who fans to pilot the Tardis in YouTube takeover
Ahead of the new series of Doctor Who starting on Saturday 23 August, the BBC has taken over YouTube to allow fans the chance to ‘pilot’ the Tardis.
The desktop game by Red Bee Media invites fans to “control” the direction of the Tardis as it flies through a vortex, with those successful able to unlock exclusive content such as a scene starring the new Doctor Peter Capaldi along with his assistant played by Jemma Coleman.
The game will only be available on the YouTube homepage for 24 hours, and also explains a Tardis ‘crash site’ stunt in Westminster.

The creativity and innovation of both creative solutions is outstanding and has helped ensure that everyone around the UK and the world is more excited about the arrival of a new doctor than ever before," said Hugh Davies, head of marketing at BBC Drama.
