A survey of $19 million worth of tradie job requests has shown that the majority of Australians are increasingly using work hours to undertake ‘life admin’ tasks.

The findings report a “surge” between the hours of 9am-5pm on weekdays.

The results found that Monday is the busiest day of the week with almost 20% of consumers posting jobs during the working day between 9am and 5pm.

Marcus Lim, co-founder and CEO of Oneflare says, “We have noticed a distinct trend of people seeking local business services during the week. A lot of activity on the site mid-morning would indicate that people are taking a few minutes, perhaps on their coffee break, to post a job to the site.

“The data gives some interesting insight into changing consumer behaviours and the way in which Aussies are using the internet to outsource manual tasks or tasks they simply cannot tackle themselves.”
