The UK fitness brand’s January campaign says it’s time to ditch makeshift home gyms.

The Gym Group has highlighted its affordable prices and accessible gym locations in a humorous New Year campaign.

In the 50-second hero film, the UK gym chain shows the silly ways people attempt to workout from home to save money: lifting the sofa, running up and down the stairs, and lunging from the car to the house. The clip ends with the line: ‘There’s a Gym Group round the corner’ and promotes its £13.99 price point.

The campaign draws on the statistic that over 50% of UK adults are within a 15-minute drive of a The Gym Group facility. The media plan spans CTV, social, branding, out-of-home, door drop marketing, and audio.

The digital agency Dept is behind the campaign after being appointed The Gym Group’s creative agency in late 2023.
