The relatable video has racked up nearly 10m views on YouTube alone.

Suchard, Mondelez International’s nougat brand, has released a short festive spot that has resonated with millions worldwide.

Titled ‘La vida es,’ which means ‘life is,’ the ad is a snapshot of one family over the years. From births to marriages and festive celebrations, the spot encompasses various milestones.

“We have created a story that connects with the consumer and excites, as it is capable of activating the Christmas memories that each of us have stored, making us relive them,” says Miguel Alonso Lamamié, senior brand manager at Suchard.

“This has been one of the keys to success since it is not only what it teaches us, but also what it awakens in us. We are very happy that it has been embraced with such passion.”

Created by Ogilvy Madrid, the campaign has had well over 50 million eyeballs across different social media channels like TikTok and Instagram. It adopts a Pixar-style aesthetic, somewhat similar to the 2009 movie Up.

Jesús Rasines, executive creative director of Ogilvy Madrid, added: “The idea was to put a classic story inside a contemporary wrapper, to touch the emotions and at the same time look for a different, special aesthetic that would allow us to portray Spanish Christmas as no one had done before.”
