Its previous ads have featured the likes of Snoop Dog and Katy Perry. Now, Just Eat is returning to screens with a campaign fronted by 90s pop star Christina Aguilera.

Created by McCann London, the spot also features hip-hop artist Latto. Together, the duo create what the brand has dubbed a “truly unexpected musical showstopper” to reflect how customers feel when they see what’s on offer at Just Eat.

It begins with Latto and Aguilera dressed in baroque style as operatic queens, both being offered an array of their favorite Just Eat food while delivery couriers and operatic suitors perform elaborate choreography around them.

“Snoop Dogg helped us to emotionally connect with audiences and boosted our cultural currency, while working with Katy Perry famously supporting the brand platform Did Somebody Say cemented Just Eat’s role as the answer to all food cravings,” explained Susan O’Brien, VP of global brand at Just Eat Takeaway.com.

“As our business evolves to offer more choice and convenience from your favorite local takeaway to dine-in dishes and everyday essentials, it’s only right that we evolve our successful creative formula. The electrifying mix of Christina Aguilera and Latto is not only unexpected, but it reinforces the message that you’ll be amazed at the selection and quality available on Just Eat.”

It was directed by music video veteran Dave Meyers.

The ad will run across TV, OOH, DOOH, cinema, social and radio, while Dept has created the corresponding digital campaign. After its UK debut, it will be rolled out across multiple markets covering Europe, Canada, and Australia over the following months.
