In 16 new ads, the brand’s iconic ‘Professor Burke’ spokescharacter hilariously demonstrates why homeowners shouldn’t cut corners in critical decisions.

Farmers Insurance has launched a multichannel ad campaign featuring Academy Award-winning actor J.K. Simmons: ‘Don’t Compromise.’

Created with ad agency RPA, Don’t Compromise encourages homeowners not to settle for less when it comes to insurance and other big decisions. Each of the lessons are told through Simmons’ character, Professor Burke, who has starred in more than 65 Farmers ads since 2010, including one inspired by Doctor Seuss and another coinciding with Sesame Street’s 50th anniversary.

The campaign, comprising 16 different digital, social and TV spots, humorously guides viewers through everyday scenarios where compromise is unthinkable. One such ad is called ‘Winning View,’ which highlights the unfortunate consequences of saving a few bucks on cheap baseball seats, like ending up behind a concrete pillar throughout an entire game.

Another skippable digital ad, titled ‘Epic Skips,’ encourages viewers not to skip the ad (and learn about Farmers) by tempting them with spectacles they won’t want to skip.

Other made-for-social content includes the ‘Runs in the Family’ series, which introduces a new character, Professor Burke’s daughter, Natalie, who communicates the brand’s message in a social-savvy way. ‘Decisions, Decisions,’ for example, plays off popular TikTok “decision” filters to try to make the point that with Farmers, people don’t have to choose between quality and savings.

The campaign begins running today across digital, social and TV.
