Ad of the Day: Squid Game's Lee Jung-jae pays homage to a century of Gucci
The South Korean superstar follows in the fashionable footsteps of Barbie actor Ryan Gosling, who fronted the Valigeria campaign last year.
Luxury Italian fashion house Gucci has released a super sleek and opulent ad campaign for its travel range. Starring Lee Jung-jae, the ad is set in the Savoy Hotel in London and harks back to the brands rich heritage.
Founded by Guccio Gucci in 1921, the brand is based in Florence but has strong ties with the London hotel. It was the precise place that inspired Gucci to create his own luggage atelier at the turn of the century.

In the spot, viewers see Jung-jae arrive at the hotel, luggage in tow of course, and make his way up to his room as Michael Nyman’s song Chasing Sheep Is Best Left To Shepherds plays in the background.
