The liaison between the two platforms will permit social media users to connect and embed their Threads accounts with their Linktree accounts.

Linktree, a social media account aggregator, announced Wednesday that it has integrated with Threads, Meta’s new rival app to X (formerly known as Twitter).

The integration permits Linktree’s 35 million-plus global users to add their Threads accounts to their Linktree accounts. It will also allow users to highlight and link to specific Threads posts directly from their Linktree profile, as illustrated below.

Additional functionality for Linktree Pro will roll out in the coming days, including the ability to automatically update their Linktree with their latest Threads posts without having to leave their Linktree.

Linktree, founded in 2016, aims to help creators, celebrities and individuals grow their social media presence across platforms by organizing all of their social media accounts in one place, usually their Instagram and Twitter bios.

”There has never been a more pivotal time for creators to own their audiences. As they face constant changes in the social media landscape, it’s imperative they have a seamless way to migrate, maintain and grow their cross-platform audience,” Linktree’s chief executive Alex Zaccaria tells The Drum. ”Linktree can be the unifying place for creators to consolidate their content and direct their following to the social profiles that matter most to them. Our integration with Threads can help creators grow their audience on the new, rapidly scaling platform.”

This is a developing story. More updates will roll out from Linktree in the coming weeks.
