The spot is the second installment of VCCP London’s ‘To Better and Beyond’ campaign, which previously featured a highland cow.

Virgin Media’s latest installment of its ‘To Better and Beyond’ campaign opens with a herd of goats stuck on the side of a mountain. As the tune kicks in, a hang glider appears and, as it gathers speed, a plucky goat is revealed as the pilot.

As the animal drifts through the sky, the voiceover asks: “Why stumble when you can soar?”

Following the success of last year’s ’Highland Rider’ spot, creative agency VCCP London once again collaborated with Emmy and Bafta award-winning Untold Studios, creating the goats in CGI.

Simon Valcarcel, marketing director at Virgin Media, said: “Our latest campaign highlights the truly unstoppable spirit of the Virgin Media brand and our ambitions to provide our customers with the very best connectivity to help them reach new heights. Through our market-leading wifi guarantee, we want our customers to truly feel like they can do anything in life – like our hang-gliding goat.”

The ad will run across TV, broadcaster video-on-demand (BVOD), social media, retail, online and at The O2 until late October. MG OMD handled the media planning and buying for the campaign.

David Masterman, deputy executive creative director at VCCP London, added: “Picking up from where our highland cow left off, we wanted to dramatize the unstoppable power of Virgin Media’s broadband with the story of a goat who leaves his stumbling herd behind to take to the skies in a hang glider."
