Revealed: The Drum Roses Awards 2023 winners

Its ‘Unforgettable Moments’ campaign for brain health charity Head for Change picked up gongs for Art Direction, Advertising, Social Purpose, Creative and Print, as well as scooping the coveted Grand Prix.

Its ‘The Longest Ad’ long covid spot was also praised, winning it Gold in the Poster category, while work for Irn-Bru earned it Bronze in that category too.

TBWA and Havas Lynx also cleaned up, with the former earning gold in the Experience category for ‘The Closing Ceremony’ campaign for Alton Towers and the latter taking home gold in the Charity category for its ‘Give Your Fanny Five’ work with the Lady Garden Foundation.

BBC Creative meanwhile took silver for its ‘Women In Sport’ campaign and Meanwhile, which created the ‘Not yet Noddy’ Christmas campaign for supermarket Iceland, was awarded gold for Disruption and Consumer Services.

Judges chair Louise Sloper, the founder and creative director of Here We Go and studio chairwoman of TypoCircle, handed her Chair’s Award to Be The Fox. The agency’s ‘Ooh… Someone’s Hormonal’ campaign used innovative choreography to challenge ideas surrounding menstrual and reproductive health, set to Self Esteem’s hit song I Do This All The Time.

Sloper’s fellow judges included luminaries such as founder of The Department Hamish Jenkinson, The Gate’s Max Gill-Engel and Ogilvy global creative director Juliana Paracencio.

The Roses Awards, held each year in Manchester, celebrate creativity and advertising excellence from agencies and brands based beyond London.
