Ad of the Day: Squarespace’s Super Bowl spot features multiple Adam Drivers
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the brand and its ninth Big Game ad.
Squarespace is comedically leaning into its early marketing roots with an ad that emphasizes how it is a website you can use to build another website. Struck by this somewhat trippy idea, the spot’s protagonist Adam Driver goes deep into a rabbit hole where reality begins to unravel, eventually ending up with an army of clones of the actor.

“I couldn’t be happier to do this commercial with Squarespace and for the Super Bowl,” said Driver. “The cast alone was reason to do this.”
’The Singularity’ was directed by award-winning filmmaker Aoife McArdle and will air between the first and second quarters of Super Bowl LVII this Sunday.

“We are thrilled to be back at the big game for our ninth year,” added Anthony Casalena, founder and chief executive officer of Squarespace. “Partnering with Adam Driver to satirize our origin is a fun way to honor where we’ve been as a company. While we started off as a website that builds websites, Squarespace has evolved into a powerful platform that provides all of the tools entrepreneurs need to turn an idea into reality and start a thriving business online.”
