Ad of the Day: Canal+’s tribute to short films culminates in a perfect plot twist
The ad is to promote the streaming platform Canal+ as the leading partner of the Clermont Short Film Festival.
In collaboration with long-time agency partner BETC Paris, Canal+ has released a gripping two-and-a-half-minute video that sees a family in a hospital, preparing for the death of their loved one.
As the film progresses, the emotions get more intense and it ends with a plot twist that you won’t have expected.
‘Papa’ will be shown at the festival, which runs until February 4 in France.
Last year, the agency and brand ranked at number 69 on The Drum’s World’s best ads ever list for its famous 2011 spot titled ‘The Bear’.
