The much-hated leaf blower operated by an overzealous weekend gardener is the star of a new campaign by Australian insurance company Budget Direct.

The campaign, created by 303 MullenLowe, is the latest instalment from Australia’s multi-award-winning Insurer of the Year and sees the return of the Sarge, Jacs and Chief characters and the tagline ‘Insurance Solved’.

The entertaining campaign sees the characters return to investigate the insurer's products. The Sarge character was introduced in 2018, replacing the hugely popular Captain Risky, an accident-prone daredevil, who has been the face of Budget Direct’s advertising since 2015.

Budget Direct has established a reputation for creating engaging and entertaining creative which is adored by audiences.

Jonathan Kerr, chief growth officer at Budget Direct said, "In a year where it’s likely that Aussies will be looking for the best possible value from their insurer we wanted to remind everyone, that we remain Australia’s most award-winning insurer.”

The ad was created by 303 MullenLowe with production by Goodoil, Rattling Stick, Blockhead and Sonar Music. It will run across TV, BVOD, Cinema, OOH, Radio, and online channels.
