Skyn fills censored blur with condoms and sex toys to hijack online censorship debates.

Sexual health brand Skyn has called on the public to indulge in uncensored pleasure in an intimate new ad campaign.

Skyn has tapped Sid Lee Paris to create the ‘Uncensored Pleasure’ ad, which hijacks the blurred graphic image used for censorship to fill with Skyn products.

A series of intimate videos directed by Ludovic Gontrand and photographs shot by Félix Dol Maillot have been produced for different markets. The films were shot in digital video to give a homemade aesthetic.

Since censorship often constrains sexual health brands, Skyn wanted to use leverage as a way to talk about how it is a barrier to sexual freedom.

Creative directors Céline and Clément Mornet-Landa said: “While intimacy is becoming more and more openly discussed in all its forms among people and in the media, social media censorship remains significant when it comes to pleasure and sexuality.”
