The four TikTok-styled spots, created by AnalogFolk London and directed by Jake Jelicich, feature artists Vic, Baby Eleanor, Yasmin Hass, Matilda Cole and Ariane V creating their own soundtracks inspired by the different flavors of Frappe including mango, brownie and mint choc chip.

FrappéLists was born from insight that this is the UK’s first ‘restriction-free’ summer for two years, and Costa Coffee wants everyone to enjoy the summer with a coffee in their hands and music in their ears.

The artists will be performing in various Costa Coffee-sponsored music events around the country, including Birmingham and Brighton. The ad production was handled by AnalogFolk Group’s production arm Untold Fable.

The FrappéLists is available on Spotify, and there are touchpoints for scanning the Spotify code in Costa Coffee stores.

The campaign will run across social media and out-of-home (OOH). All live collateral – posters, stickers on drinks, screens and even temporary tattoos – are scannable as well.

Kirstey Elston, Costa Coffee marketing director for UK and Ireland, said: “Our gen Z audience has been eagerly waiting to experience a summer since 2019, and Costa Coffee’s biggest ever summer drinks menu is here to help bring some ‘Frappé-ness.’ This campaign leverages the power of music, digital and social working together, and has created a fun experience to form a soundtrack for this summer, alongside our wide choice of amazing cold drinks across all of our platforms.”

Colin Byrne, executive creative director, AnalogFolk London, said: “It’s refreshing to see a brand as iconic as Costa Coffee share their platform with grassroots artists. The beauty of the idea is in its simplicity – adding scannable Spotify codes to every touchpoint not only gives British music talent an incredible stage to shine, but makes this summer’s Costa Frappé menu as easy on the ears as it is on the lips.”
