Dick Van Motman, previously the global president of Dentsu brand agencies, has been named global chief executive officer, creative.

He will work closely with Mcgarrybowen co-founder Gordon Bowen, who will become the new chief creative officer at Dentsu Aegis Network. Bowen will continue as chairman of Mcgarrybowen.

Van Motman's remit is to "develop and grow the creative proposition" across the Network's global footprint. Gordon is tasked with driving Dentsu Aegis' creative output.

The two will sit on the Denstu Aegis global executive committee directly to executive chairman and chief executive officer Tim Andree, who replaced Jerry Buhlmann in November.

"These important appointments to our executive team will drive even greater connection for our clients to the full spread of our world-class capabilities. Clients want to work with agencies who provide outstanding, consistent services that can be integrated on a global basis and this announcement is a pivotal step to organizing our business around those priorities," said Andree.

Dentsu Aegis also named Nicholas Rey the new chief network development officer and So Aoki the new chief corporate planning officer. Both will report directly to Andree.
