Facebook gets nod for local unit in Indonesia
Facebook has gotten an in-principle approval to set up a local unit in Indonesia, according to a Reuters report.

The government is currently processing the details according to Thomas Lembong, chairman of Indonesia's investment coordinating board.
The social media giant currently operates in Indonesia via an office in central Jakarta.
"I see good intention and spirit from Facebook," said Lembong. "What we care about are taxes and responsible content."
The investment board and communication ministry are looking at the type of business unit Facebook will establish according to Lembong.
Facebook has yet to respond to queries about the new local office.
