Prophet hires former JWT Asia Pacific CEO Tom Doctoroff

Tom Doctoroff, the former Asia-Pacific CEO at J. Walter Thompson, has joined global brand and marketing consultancy Prophet as senior partner.

Tom Doctoroff joins Prophet as senior partner

Doctoroff, who brings two decades of experience working with brands in Asia, will split his time between Prophet’s US and China offices. He will help Asian companies and multinational brands to operate and grow in Asian markets.

His appointment will also help accelerate Prophet’s growth in Asia by adding to the consultancy's expertise in helping foreign brands enter the Chinese market as well as working with Chinese brands that are transitioning into the international market.

Prophet said in a statement: “Doctoroff’s unique combination of pan-Asian work and in-depth understanding of the nuances of Chinese consumer psychology has made him one of the world’s foremost experts on Chinese consumer behavior and the Asian commercial landscape.
