Cutters Studios New York, a provider of editing and post-production artistry, has elevated Julia Pepe to director of business development for its east coast business, announced by Cutters executive producer Elizabeth Krajewski and managing director Craig Duncan.

Pepe, a highly accomplished producer and filmmaker, joined Cutters in New York as a producer in 2014, following time as a producer and studio manager with mcgarrybowen in Chicago. Cutters named Pepe a senior producer in 2015 and she contributed to projects for the United Nations, the Museum of Modern art, as well as for major agencies, publishers and media companies worldwide, and client-to-client projects for the NHL and for feature film and television projects.

"Julia has a way of making people feel at ease," said Krajewski. "She is smart and funny, she listens and is therefore able to come up with solutions and ideas for every scenario with every type of client."

In her new role, Pepe’s new business development duties will cover the entire east coast and is confident that she can help grow the Cutters brand, which was established in 1980 in Chicago and has grown to open successful studios in Detroit, LA, Tokyo and New York City. Cutters and its partner companies, Another Country, Dictionary Films, Flavor and Picnic Media, allow for unlimited full-service creative capabilities.

"In its almost 37-year tenure, Cutters has become an institution with a widely recognized global brand and a roster so diverse that we can handle any creative challenge thrown our way. We reach out to the marketplace with a presence in major cities around the world, facilitating vast and various shoot, edit and finish requirements. The combined talents here push out some pretty amazing work, and I feel so proud to represent them,” said Pepe.

"I believe having started as a young filmmaker, then transitioning to an agency producer at Mcgarrybowen and then on to an editorial producer at Cutters will make her an incredibly knowledgeable and valuable resource for our clients," added Duncan.

Pepe will soon begin hosting screenings in major cities including Atlanta, Boston, Miami and Pittsburgh, plus smaller markets like Portland, Maine, and Richmond, Virginia.
