BBC urges Sherlock fans not to watch leaked final episode
A yet-to-be-released episode of the BBC's Sherlock has been leaked onto file-sharing sites - and the broadcaster is issuing a plea to fans not to share the footage or any spoilers that will arise from it.

BBC News reports that a Russian version of the episode called 'The Final Problem' almost a day before it is broadcast at 21:00 on Sunday 15 January. The show's official account urged fans to not share the file in order to #KeepMeSpoilerFree.
We are aware that #Sherlock episode 3 has been uploaded illegally online. If you come across it, please do not share it. #KeepMeSpoilerFree

Show producer Sue Vertue also urged fans to ignore the leak, hinting that the Sherlock community has so far avoided spoiler discussions that have to an extent plagued previous series.
Russian version of #Sherlock TFP has been illegally uploaded. Please don't share it. You've done so well keeping it spoiler free.Nearly there

One Twitter user wondered if the BBC's policy to announce the leak was the best course of action.
@suevertue not sure announcing it is the best course of action bc now whoever didn't know knows & trust me, they'll go and watch it!

Both statements urged fans not to "share" the episodes, they said nothing about not watching them however. The episode is dubbed in Russian so its probably worth waiting a few more hours until the show is legally aired.
