South Africa's TMI agency adds media company to its marketing data and analytics expertise

Digital agency group TMI has announced the formation of a new business venture TMI Media.

Formed by Quinton Jones (former director of Planit Media and Group managing director Carat) and Peter Brooke-Sumner (director of TMI), TMI Media will operate in tandem with TMI's existing business to offer a media component to accompany its data and analytics expertise.

TMI is managed by Peter Brooke-Sumner and Lauren Foster, who will work closely with Quinton and media venture, enhancing clients' through-the-line marketing efforts. After working together on numerous clients, Brooke-Sumner and Jones realised the value of collaborating on data-driven media solutions that ensure results and marketing success.

"This is the perfect fit. Many media agencies talk it - very few actually are geared to do it properly," Jones says. "The future of media is data-led, with media intelligence and predictive media ultimately bringing the cost of marketing down. This is true data-led integration and I now have access to a team of 35 digital media and performance specialists, the full DoubleClick stack, with analytics and programmatic capabilities on hand. I'm excited about meeting the challenge of a media future with Pete and this team."

TMI Media will be using the muscle of the biggest media buyer in the country, with OMD as Trading and Buying partner. Through OMD, TMI Media will have access to a full African-servicing network of 14 markets across the continent.

TMI Media already has a client base of Dunkin' Donuts, Baskin Robbins, RE/Max, Essilor and a number of creative agency partners and smaller clients.
