The appointment will see Chancellor, who has also work at Fallon, W+K and KesselsKramer in his career, work directly with agency founder David Billing across clients including Amazon and Betway.

“True solo creatives are hard to find, but Tom’s a proper one-man band,” said Billing. “He’s got the cymbals between his knees and everything. He comes to us with an embarrassment of great work and big agency names in tow. And now he’s here to help power us into what’s already shaping up to be a very exciting 2017 for the agency.”

Chancellor added: “David’s energy and creative ambitions for the agency are super-contagious, it’s also a huge privilege to work alongside Zaid once again. Couple this with their ‘audience age’ ethos – the draw and decision certainly wasn’t a difficult one. I look forward to working with the top clients, and being part of the A+B family as it grows”.

Asked for Chancellor's job title, Al-Zaidy told The Drum that he was looking to avoid creating titles within the business as part of his planned ethos for the agency, adding: "Titles get in the way of brilliant people working together to make wonderful things."

The agency has also recently been granted Living Wage accreditation it is understood too.
