APAC Work of the Week: Lotto New Zealand's TV ad twist warms hearts
This week's winner of the APAC creative works is a new ad for Lotto Powerball that revolves around a close-knit family of four siblings who come together at their childhood home to fulfil a strange last request from their late mother.
In the ad, by DDB New Zealand and The Sweet Shop, what looks like a get-your-hands-dirty job to get the house ready for sale, turns out to be something entirely unexpected.
The insight for the campaign came from asking what people would do with the money if they won big. According to DDB, they asked Lotto New Zealand what people normally did and found that they actually often used the money to help others.
