Virgin Media has rolled out a new advertising sales house for the UK and Irish markets, dubbed Virgin Media Solutions that will act as the exclusive sales agency for Virgin Media's VoD and public Wi-Fi inventory in the UK, as well as Irish media house TV3 Group.

Virgin Media launches Virgin Media Solutions

Virgin Media's Ireland group will be headed up by Paula McCarthy – previously brand solutions director of TV3 group – while the UK will be lead by Gareth Vaughan Jones, who was formerly head of advertising at Virgin Media UK. They will both report to TV3 group commercial director Gavan Byrne.

David Bouchier, chief digital entertainment officer at Virgin Media, said: “By bringing together the incredibly talented TV3 advertising team with Virgin Media we’re building an advertising arm with firepower across TV, on-demand and WiFi. This means agencies now have a single destination to place adverts across Virgin Media’s footprint. We’re looking forward to developing our advertising capabilities even further in the near future.”

Pat Kiely, managing director of TV3 Group, said: “Working with Virgin Media and [company owner] Liberty Global means we can now offer a unique and sophisticated service to future proof our advertising proposition.”
