Selipsky is one of the longest-serving members of the executive team at the multi- billion dollar cloud computing business. A graduate of Harvard Business School, he joined AWS in 2005 and helped take the company from pre-revenue to $10bn revenue business while growing the team size from fewer than ten to thousands. He was one of only two senior executives in place from the launch of AWS to present, according to his Linked In profile.

Before AWS, he was a vice president at Seattle’s RealNetworks for six years.

“We can confirm that after 11 years at Amazon, Adam will be leaving,” AWS said this afternoon in an email. “We appreciate his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.”
