Facebook Live crashes seeing president Obama’s Buzzfeed interview redirected to YouTube
Facebook had the opportunity to hit home the potential and reliability of its 'Live' broadcasting service with president Obama and Buzzfeed set to give it a baptism of fire with a ground-breaking interview.
However, on Monday (16 May) during the interview, the Facebook Live feed direct from the White House stalled with 35,000 viewers on board, according to AdWeek.
Having rolled out the service in April, the opportunity to host the prestigious interview quickly soured as White House staff instead shifted the interview stream over to YouTube.
Following the incident the initial YouTube Live cast only mustered 15,000 viewers.
