West Ham United has announced that Ticketmaster will be their official ticket partner next season when they move into their new stadium.

Tickets for West Ham fixtures will be available through Ticketmaster for the 2016/17 season at which point the Hammers will begin playing at the redeveloped Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

At the end of the current season the club will bid farewell to their Boleyn Ground home, where they have spent the last 112 years, and take up permanent residence at the significantly larger 60,000 capacity stadium in Stratford, East London.

Ticketmaster will provide the club with retailing technology and project management infrastructure to help manage the increase in demand for tickets.

Originally the new Olympic Park stadium was planned to hold 54,000 fans however the volume of season ticket registrations forced the club to increase the stadium capacity to 60,000.

“The move to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park presents us with a unique opportunity to offer an unrivalled supported experience,” said West Ham vice chairman Karren Brady.

“Our supporters can look forward to a vastly improved service across the board, and so we are delighted to be working with an organisation of Ticketmaster’s repute at this exciting time in the club’s history.”
