Aston Martin is set to offer up its design expertise after creating a new consultancy called Aston Martin Consulting (AMC).

The luxury British car maker will provide companies with design, engineering and manufacturing advice, a move that comes after Aston Martin said it is often asked to collaborate on projects with other companies.

Aston Martin CEO Dr Andy Palmer said: “We are often asked to collaborate on projects with other companies. My belief is that we can expand the provision of our expertise and experience even further. The formation of Aston Martin Consulting means that we can offer a more structured approach to these projects.”

Successful projects in the past have include a collaboration with Sir Norman Foster’s company, Foster + Partners, to design the London Bus of the future and more recently the AM37 powerboat, created in conjunction with Quintessence Yachts.

AMC will be headed up by managing director Bradley Yorke-Biggs, with operations based at Aston Martin’s headquarters and manufacturing facility in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
