Former R/GA duo Drew Burdon and George Prest have jumped ship to join You & Mr Jones in order to lead Blood, a novel practice which aims to marry technology and brand building.
Described as the world’s first Brandtech practice Blood will partner with start-ups as well as established industry players to devise technology driven solutions for bolstering brand value.
Prest commented: “We’re called Blood because of our utter belief in humanity, because we get under the skin of brands and business, and because we’ll sweat it every day for our clients.
“Everyone knows that brands need to be designed and built with technology at their core. We’re here to partner with the brightest tech talent on the planet to do that job.”
Burdon added: “We know from speaking to global, C-level clients that they want to work with a new kind of company, one that understands brand building and technology in equal measure, and can put that knowledge at the center of their marketing strategy.
“We’ve seen technology disrupt and improve numerous industries over the last two decades – from entertainment, to finance, to healthcare – but not yet in the world of marketing.
Prest previously served as VP, executive creative director whilst Burdon worked as VP, executive strategy director at R/GA. Both will also now serve as partners in You & Mr Jones.
