Engine's UK chief executive Debbie Klein has been promoted to the role of CEO Europe and Asia Pacific.

Klein’s role now includes responsibility for Engine’s offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai in addition to her existing UK and European remit. She will continue to report to Terry Graunke, Engine’s executive chairman.

The promotion is part of Engine’s continued global expansion strategy, following its acquisition by Lake Capital in 2014, which now sees the company comprise 13 businesses, with 14 offices, across 4 continents and over 2500 staff globally.

Last year saw the launch of Synergy and Partners Andrews Aldridge in the US, the rebrand of digital creative agency Jam to Deep Focus London and a newly opened Engine office in Manchester.

Commenting on the announcement, Debbie Klein said: "This is a whole new chapter for Engine. Last year we grew significantly and exported a number of our agencies. Increasingly, our European clients want to take advantage of opportunities in Asia with global, integrated campaigns, and I am thrilled to be building our offer there."
