Typhoo announces Nigella Lawson as new brand ambassador amidst launch of ‘moments’ campaign

Typhoo has announced Nigella Lawson as its latest brand ambassador and star of a national marketing campaign.

The food writer and TV cook will front a 30 second commercial for Typhoo which celebrates the simple pleasures of great tea moments. In the ad Nigella will share her recipe for the ultimate tea 'moment' as she curls up on a sofa with a cup of Typhoo tea and a slice of chocolate cake.

The ad will air on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on the 15 January at 6:55am, and is part of the brands latest campaign 'Typhoo Moments', which the brand invested £5m to launch.

The launch will be supported by outdoor advertising, PR and social activity.

On the campaign, Typhoo’s chief executive office Somnath Saha, commented: "We plan to use the campaign as a launch pad to build on our growth to date which has seen value sales increase by 5 per cent year-on-year. We want to inspire tea lovers across the UK to take a second to celebrate one of life’s simple pleasures and enjoy a great brew moment."
