7thingsmedia appoints Belinda Doherty as chief financial officer

Independent digital media agency 7thingsmedia has appointed Belinda Doherty as chief financial officer.

Doherty joins the agency after leaving the role of finance and operations director at BergHind Joseph. She has over 15 years finance experience with previous agency roles at MRM/McCann, The Team and Small Back Room.

In her newly-created board level role reporting directly to 7thingsmedia’s founder and chief executive Chris Bishop, Doherty is tasked with providing the agency with strategic and financial direction as it accelerate its growth plans.

Chris Bishop said of his latest signing: “Belinda’s appointment is the latest in a line of people investments we are making at the agency to ensure we have the expertise in place to deliver the next big step of our growth plans. I am confident that she will have a big impact on our business moving forward.”

In an impressive twelve month period, 7thingsmedia has doubled its central London office space, collected awards including The Grand Prix at The Drum Trading Awards, appointed senior key staff including a chief digital officer and chief innovation officer and secured new clients including NET-A-PORTER, Tesco & TK Maxx.
