Instagram Partners advertising tool welcomes first businesses

Instagram has welcomed its first advertising partners to the fold following the launch of its Instgram Partners program, an initiative which aims to pair up advertisers with technology partners to help them maximise exposure on the platform.

Launching with 40 partners including Smartly.io, Tongal and SocialCode the service is intended to complement proprietary tools in advertising technology, community management and content marketing.

This is designed to ensure that advertisers can readily manage their ads through the planning, buying and optimisation stages whilst enabling marketers to better understand and interact with Instagram users. It will also allow businesses to quickly create, curate and source content.

Axel Ramírez, lead advertiser at ecommerce business Hawkers Co, who have been paired up with Smartly.io, said: "Working with Smartly.io, we saw a 77% higher return on ad spend over our link ad campaigns—with a 26% lower cost-per-click and almost half the cost-per-action. “We're delighted with the results from this new partnership."

Further services offered by Instagram Partners include driving app installs and in-store traffic as well as specific brand and performance objectives.
