Virgin Atlantic hands £12m media account to Havas Media Group's Arena
Virgin Atlantic Airways has appointed Havas Media Group's Arena Media to its £12m media account, The Drum has learned.
Arena won the business following a competitive pitch process this summer, which saw the airline part ways with MG OMD after a 22-year relationship. The agency did not not take part in the pitch, which also involved Phd and Goodstuff.
Reuben Arnold, SVP marketing and customer experience, told The Drum: “We are delighted to be appointing Arena as our new media agency, following a very comprehensive review process. We were really impressed by the strength the whole team and their response to our brief - they will play a critical role along with our other agency partners in helping us to deliver on our ambitious plans for our brand."
Virgin Atlantic last year ended a 20-year partnership with creative agency Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R after selecting Adam&Eve/DDB to head up the account.
The process was handled by ID Comms.
