Bauer Media has strengthened its digital credentials with the launch of its new e-commerce platform, Dabbl.

The voucher sales website has partnered with a number of leading brands throughout the UK to offer consumer discount deals from companies such as Zizzi, Pizza Hut and Reel Cinema.

The platform will offer an array of deals for restaurants, getaways, events, spas and shopping and follows on from the success of Bauer Media’s radio offers which advertised discount vouchers across its radio platforms key networks.

Dabbl’s launch follows a 12 month development period led by Bauer’s digital development director, Jo Baldwin, and will build on the company’s digital division Bauer Media’s Xcel Media, which is headed by digital managing director, Sam Jones.

Baldwin said Dabbl demonstrated Bauer’s “agile approach to product development” and said it would allow it to work closely with national advertisers. She added that Dabbl’s team would look to expand the platform by “welcoming more brands on board”.

Jones said Dabbl was designed to boost Bauer’s digital transactional business and represented a “step forward in our digital growth strategy, leveraging our UK media scale across digital, radio, magazines and TV reaching over 22 million consumers.”

The marketing campaign for the launch will run across all the Bauer Media multi-platform brands including Magic, KISS and Absolute Radio with the potential to reach an audience of over 22 million consumers.
