TeenNick is rolling out ‘The Splat’ next month, an eight-hour TV block that will play ‘90s hit shows including All That, CatDog, Hey Arnold!, Kenan & Kel, and Rugrats.

The launch comes as Nickelodeon attempts to appeal to millennials who are nostalgic for their favorite childhood TV series.

‘The Splat’ launches on 5 October at 10 pm and will air daily. Aside from TV shows, it will air original promos and interstitials from the ‘90s including the Doo-wop Dinosaurs and the Opera Lady.

It will also have weekly and monthly themes, such as ‘First Time for Everything,’ which will air the first two episodes of many of these popular shows, and ‘Rugrats Reptar Takeover,’ which will air Rugrats episodes featuring Reptar.

Cyma Zarghami, president of Viacom Kids and Family Group, said: “We have been listening closely to our first generation of Nick kids that are craving the great characters and shows they grew up with watching Nickelodeon in the ‘90s. We designed ‘The Splat’ with fans and their requests in mind, which means we’re bringing together these beloved series and a high level of digital engagement to give fans a retro media experience they can’t get anywhere else.”

Nickelodeon said 'The Splat' will have a “robust social presence” and a fan-driven website built around social conversations.
