Continental Tyres is offering a free hotel stay for two for consumers who buy two or more of its tyres as part of the company's latest campaign push.

Running throughout April and May, the Continental Road Trip promotion, which aims to make consumers enjoy their journey as much as the destination, will be supported by a PR campaign that will explore people’s motoring enjoyment.

The wider campaign includes point-of-sale promotion, radio advertising, PR, paid-for search and social media, while the Continental Road Trip website includes a guide to the best road trips in the UK and Ireland.

Radio advertising will run for two weeks in April across Absolute Radio Network, Classic FM and Newslink via 20- second long ads to target ABC1 adults, mainly during key drive-time air slots.

Social media will support all activities with planned content, takeover visuals and use of the campaign hashtag #ContinentalRoadTrip.

Peter Robb, advertising and sponsorship manager at Continental Tyres commented: “Our independent research identifies that eight in ten people enjoy the experience of motoring despite congestion and rising costs and this campaign taps into that positive sentiment very clearly, while rewarding customers.”

Hotel groups participating in the campaign include Malmaison, Hotel du Vin, Select, Premier Inn and Bespoke.
