Hollywood actor Kevin Bacon has marked the launch of EE TV, a digital TV service that lets customers watch, record and stream programmes on multiple devices throughout the home, in a new 40-second TV ad.

In the ad which also features Gogglebox stars Christopher Steed and Stephen Webb, Bacon highlighted EE TV as the solution to viewing-based arguments in the home thanks to its multiscreen streaming capabilities.

The ad, created by advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi London and EE’s media buying agency MEC, will debut today (25 February) as part of a "multi-million" campaign which includes a TV slot during the Brit Awards 2015.

Spencer McHugh, director of brand at EE, said: “The EE TV box is the perfect solution for busy households with varied tastes in TV allowing users to watch up to four different programmes, in four different rooms, on four different devices all at the same time.

“This is a major launch for EE and the opportunity to place Hollywood star Kevin Bacon alongside down-to-earth TV-lovers Christopher and Stephen in their now-famous Brighton home was a no brainer to showcase the benefits of this fantastic new product.”

Users of the service can record four live TV programmes simultaneously and can ‘flick’ content from the tablet or mobile onto compatible TV screens using a swiping motion on the device.
