Mecca Bingo is to trial mobile ordering and payments at its clubs in Croydon and Southend this month.

The bingo firm will use the Q app to enable customers to browse its menu, order, and pay for food and drinks from their smartphones, saving users the need to move from their tables.

The app will also help Mecca run real-time digital promotions for its customers to view instantly on mobile and tablet.

Kevin Allcock, Mecca operations director, said: “Mecca is always looking at ways to enhance customer experience in its clubs, and Q App’s innovative solution will help serve customers during the busy Bingo intervals.

“Mobile ordering will add another dimension to our catering service and give our customers the flexibility to place orders when they want, from the comfort of their seat.”

The Q App has been used at many major entertainment and hospitality establishments in the UK, including the Royal Albert Hall, Southbank Centre, and a number of sports grounds, theatres, bars and nightclubs.
