Brand consultancy The Partners has appointed Razorfish co-founder Jason Hartley as chief strategy officer to spearhead its offering across the consultancy's London, New York and Singapore offices.

Hartley has recently relocated back to London after 15 years in Amsterdam, where he created Amsterdam’s first media neutral agency in 2005, has been involved in creating the global social media agency for Omnicom/Adidas in 2008 and was also brand strategy director at Design Bridge’s office in Amsterdam.

“Despite a grounding in digital I have always been brand led and somewhat bemused by channels leading ideas,” explained Hartley.

"I am fascinated by how the evolution of digital media has impacted people’s sociological behaviour towards each other and towards brands. This is an irresistible opportunity to combine my background and original view of the future with an organisation established in the heritage and at the forefront of brand and design."

Most recently Hartley took time out to become a chef and restaurateur.
