Rovio is set to kick off its first global campaign for its Angry Birds games after inking a promotional deal with Burger King.

From 19 January consumers who visit participating Burger King restaurants in the UK and Ireland will be welcomed by various characters from the Angry Birds Go! and Angry Birds Stella games.

The move will also see besokely-designed children’s bags given out in every kid’s meal containing one of six different Angry Birds themed toys including a double puzzle and stencil kit.

A TV campaign will run globally in addition to digital activations, in-store posters and window stickers to advertise the promotion.

“We are always looking for ways to innovative the guest experience,” said Matthew Bresnahan, marketing director, Northern Europe, Russia, & Africa.

“The Angry Birds franchise is well-known for crossing all generations and offers the perfect opportunity for us to connect with all members of the family.”

The activity will run until 1 March.
