Business networking portal LinkedIn has announced the extension of its publishing platform to all 17m UK members, enabling the display of published posts within their professional profile to reach more LinkedIn members.

The new functionality also allows members who publish content to be ‘followed’ by others in a similar fashion to key ‘influencers; such as Richard Branson and David Cameron.

Darain Faraz, LinkedIn, said: “Collectively, our members have several centuries’ worth of experience under their belts, and we wanted to give them a tool to showcase and share it. Now, they can demonstrate their thought leadership and expertise, and learn from other people’s.”

The move follows the successful introduction of the system in the US last year, spurring a roll-out to all 230m English speaking members worldwide.
