Sportswear retailer Salomon is inviting fans to nominate their dream location and athlete to star in the next season of Salomon’s Freeski TV program.

The social competition, created by 1000heads, asks fans to use the hashtag #FreeskiDreamTrip to make their nominations, with one winner to be chosen to star in the episode, in their dream location, with their hand-picked Salomon athlete.

Bastien Parizot, digital marketing and e-commerce director at Salomon, said: “Salomon Freeski TV is all about telling stories from our world and inspiring people to become part of it. #FreeskiDreamTrip is a simple but powerful creative idea which supports this positioning perfectly, allowing Salomon Freeski TV fans to become the story. We’re really looking forward to seeing what fans put forward and hearing more about their dream ski experience.”

Open until Christmas Eve, the competition will be based on a dedicated microsite, and supported through the program’s Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram channels.

Ski fans will be encouraged to get involved by Salomon athletes, who will help generate their own content.

Frank Grindrod, managing director at 1000heads, added: “As a skier, it’s virtually impossible to watch Salomon Freeski TV and not wish it was you that was taking part. Now we’re making that possible with #FreeskiDreamTrip. This is a truly social campaign, which puts fans of Salomon Freeski TV at the centre of the content and harnesses their passion to inspire others.”

The competiton winner will be announced in the new year.
