Tyrrells, the crisp brand, has awarded its global creative account to Wieden + Kennedy London without a competitive pitch.

The agency is to lead creative communications starting immediately under the director of Tyrrells' newly appointed marketing director, Jocelyn McNulty.

McNulty said the agency was at “the top of its game”.

“Wieden + Kennedy really seem to understand the Tyrrells brand – especially when they were knee deep in mud on our Herefordshire potato farm! We are delighted to be working with them,” she added.

Meanwhile, Neil Christie, managing director of Wieden+Kennedy London, joked: “I love Tyrrells. Especially the sweet chilli and red pepper flavour. This win means I can now eat loads of them and call it work.”

Wieden + Kennedy will work with Big Fish which leads the brand’s pack design and Spider which handle PR.
