Mobsta names George Dixon as strategy director

Mobsta has appointed George Dixon, previously Mediacom UK’s head of mobile, as strategy director.

The appointment follows a major re-structure of Mobsta’s UK sales team, and will see Dixon oversee the agency sales strategy whilst helping to develop Mobsta’s geo targeting products specifically MobGeo+.

He will also join the project team working on Mobsta’s soon to launch tech platform ‘Optio’.

Mobsta founder John Scorah commented: “We have seen significant growth in premium display, programmatic and most of all geo activity through the key media agencies this year. One outcome, encouraging that it is, has seen the nature of briefs received becoming more complex and in need of a greater detailed and more considered response. Recruiting an experienced media professional with real mobile expertise was therefore the obvious target to oversee our agency sales teams to ensure we deliver exactly what agencies are looking for.”

Dixon takes up the role on 1 December.
