Sun Bingo appoints Wunderman for first social media campaign

Sun Bingo, the online bingo brand for The Sun newspaper, has appointed Wunderman to handle its first social media campaign.

The first work will see Wunderman create a Christmas campaign to drive engagement with Sun Bingo during what it is traditionally a quiet period for bingo players.

Mel Edwards, chief executive of Wunderman, said: “Sun Bingo is a massively popular service but bingo players tend to have a break over the busy Christmas period. The campaign will target players through social media with the familiar Sun Bingo visual identity.”

The agency was appointed to the account without a pitch. Emma Loveday, Bingo marketing manager for The Sun, News UK added: “The appointment follows the agency’s appointment onto the roster earlier this year.”
