Amazon is to extend its Prime membership service to external sites giving them access to the two-day delivery promise for hundreds of thousands of goods.

Amazon is looking for Prime partners

The e-commerce giant has signed a deal with British clothing outlet Allsaints giving Prime members access to the service’s many perks, according to Re/code.

Amazon Prime costs £79 per year following a free month-long trial month. It offers consumers two-day shipping on selected goods, unlimited cloud storage in addition to access to digital movies, TV and books.

As an incentive to attract more consumers to the scheme, the retailer will expand Prime into external sites although Allsaints is the only brand signed up at the moment.

The deal will see the retailer granted a store front on Amazon. Allsaints will pay a fee for every consumer redirected to its site through the portal but will not be required to offer any percentage of any final sales.

Rich Ascott, global digital chief of AllSaints told Re/code that “Amazon Prime could be the VIP pass to the internet."

This comes after Amazon in September introduced the ‘Pass my Parcel’ delivery service guaranteeing goods will be at pick up hubs across the UK on the same day. It is free for Prime subscribers until the end of the year.
