Lloyds banking group is to embark upon a review of the media planning and buying of all group brands; including Lloyds Bank, Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Scottish Widows.

The review will include both traditional and digital media channels with incumbent agency MEC invited to re-pitch for the work. Media Sense, LBG’s performance analysts and AAR will manage the review process.

Catherine Kehoe, managing director, Group Brands & Marketing, Lloyds Banking Group, said: “We have had five very successful years with our current media planning & buying partner MEC who have provided an integrated service across all media types. As we look forward to the next five year period we need to ensure that our approach continues to deliver best value and quality across all media”

A target date for completion of the review has been set for 31 March 2015.
